Going for the Reading Gold

Dear 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade Creekside Families,

In the library this week we are starting a Winter Olympics Unit. As an extra bonus for our 3rd, 4th, 5th grade readers, we are handing out “Going for the Reading Gold” bookmarks.

The bookmarks have three challenges to complete and after mid-winter break your child can bring their completed bookmark to the library and receive a gold medal sticker.

This is an optional opportunity for your child.

PS Fun Olympic fact—The Jamaican Bobsled Team qualified after 24 years for this Olympics. If you have never watched the movie Cool Runnings with John Candy (1993, rated PG, and on Disney+) you might want to check it out. It is about the first Jamaican Bobsled Team to ever compete.
